What happens when The Queen of Hearts visits
The Queen of Hearts sweeps in demanding everything be done exactly her way, immediately, and grows more delightfully furious every time a game doesn’t go to plan. A flamingo-croquet game with wonky equipment on purpose, a card-soldier marching drill, and a “guess the queen’s mood” game that’s funnier the crosser she gets.
She’s dramatic, hilarious and never actually frightening, more panto tyrant than genuine threat, which children find endlessly funny to wind up. Everything settles for a temper-tantrum-free Happy Birthday, on her orders.
