1. Confirming your booking
Your booking with Wish upon a Party is confirmed once we have received your 50% deposit, or payment in full. Until then, your date isn't held.
2. Payment
A 50% deposit secures your booking, usually by bank transfer. The remaining balance is due before your performer arrives, or on the day.
If the balance isn't paid, we reserve the right to shorten or cancel the party.
3. Cancellations
- More than 24 hours before the party: your 50% deposit is forfeited.
- Within 24 hours of the party: the full cost of the party is payable.
- Severe weather, illness or genuine emergency: we'll waive the balance, and only the deposit is retained.
Where we can, we'd much rather move your booking to a new date than cancel it.
4. Travel
We're based on the Wirral and regularly travel to Liverpool, Chester and North Wales. Parties beyond the Wirral may incur a travel fee, which we'll confirm before you book.
5. Supervision and safety
We are entertainers, not childcare. The host or parent is responsible at all times for the general supervision of children at the party venue, including behaviour and discipline.
The host is responsible for ensuring children only leave the party with their own parent or guardian.
Performers delivering a party on their own are DBS checked.
6. Allergies and additional needs
Please tell us about any allergies, disabilities or additional needs at least 24 hours before the party so we can prepare properly and make sure every child can join in.
7. Our performers
We reserve the right to leave a party at any time if our performers feel threatened or uncomfortable. This is rare, and we'd always try to resolve things first.
We work to a schedule and a performer often has another party immediately afterwards, so we're not able to start late or overrun.
8. Face painting, glitter tattoos and balloons
- We use TAG brand face paints. So that every child gets a turn within the time booked, we suggest simpler designs and can't redo a face once it's done.
- Glitter tattoos can last up to a week. We use biodegradable glitter where possible.
- Balloon modelling is one balloon per child, so everybody gets one.
9. Liability
We accept no responsibility for damage to the venue, for injuries occurring at the party outside our control, or for non-completion of a booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, illness or industrial action.
10. Photographs
Photographs taken by Wish upon a Party remain our property, and we reserve the right to use them for promotional purposes. If you'd prefer we didn't use images featuring your child, tell us and we won't.

11. Our characters
Wish upon a Party Entertainment Limited is an independent company and is not associated with, affiliated with, or licensed by The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, DC Comics, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Hasbro or Mattel.
Our characters are generic, with inspiration drawn from many tellings of the most popular storybook characters. We can only accept bookings from customers who understand that we do not represent any licensed character, and any resemblance to internationally known copyrighted characters is incidental.
Reviews or social media posts from customers that reference our entertainers using copyrighted brand names are the opinion and interpretation of that individual, not of Wish upon a Party. If you require a licensed character, please contact the relevant copyright holder.
