Meet Ruthie

Thanks so much for visiting. I'm Ruthie, and I created Wish upon a Party to give parents genuinely good entertainment for those special occasions.

I come from an acting background, and I wanted to bring characters to life in the most magical way possible: realistic accents, proper movement and stunning costumes. Our team is hand-picked for acting talent and for the ability to really engage with children, which is a rarer combination than you'd think.

At Wish upon a Party your child isn't just another booking. We want to celebrate what makes them them, and do everything we can to make sure they have a wonderful day. We'll ask about their favourite songs, their favourite characters and what will make them happy on their big day, and then we build the party around that.

Our venue

We now have our own venue in Birkenhead, where we can host your party from start to finish, or we can come to you, at your chosen venue or at home. As my own little one has got bigger I've been opening the venue up more for stay-and-play sessions and events through the week.

Schools and nurseries

During the week I also deliver storytelling and drama workshops in schools and nurseries. I spent over ten years touring theatre-in-education performances and workshops to schools throughout the UK, Ireland, Spain and Australia, and it's still some of my favourite work.
